The Altman Easy Hood Latch™ is a vehicle-specific, bolt-on hood latching system designed to replace the factory hood latch with a modern rotary claw mechanism.
This system installs directly into the factory radiator support of your 1967–68 Chevy/GMC truck with no permanent modifications required, eliminating the need for cutting, welding, or drilling.
We took the proven Altman Easy Latch™ system and adapted it for hood use, allowing your hood to close as gently and securely as your doors.
This kit features a modular release lever that provides both height and side-to-side adjustment.
The striker plate is machined from billet aluminum, and the striker pin is made from 6061 aluminum with a nylon strike surface for smooth, quiet operation.
The installation plate is bare steel and can be painted to match your radiator support or engine bay.
