This Altman Easy Latch™ kit is engineered for mixed-platform vehicles using early (1947–51) doors on later (1952–54) cab structures. It is not intended for stock configurations.
The Altman Easy Latch™ kit is a vehicle-specific, bolt-on rotary claw latch system. Each kit is designed to integrate with 1947–51 Chevy truck door components, including factory exterior and interior handles and original door lock cylinders, ensuring proper function and operation.
Custom-contoured jamb plates are designed to properly interface with the 1952–54 cab structure while aligning with 1947–51 door geometry for accurate fitment.
All components are zinc plated for corrosion resistance, with case-hardened internal claws for long-term durability.
Each kit includes everything needed for two doors: vehicle-specific latches, hybrid-fit jamb plates, striker plates, stainless steel striker bolts, templates, hardware, and detailed instructions.
The result is a smoother, more secure, and consistent door closing experience for modified vehicles using this door and cab combination.

Important Fitment & Installation Notes
Application-Specific Fitment: This kit is designed only for vehicles using 1947–51 Chevy truck doors on a 1952–54 Chevy truck cab. It will not function correctly on stock, non-modified vehicles.
Interior Locking: This latch does not allow you to lock the vehicle from the inside. To do so, you must install power lock actuators.
Power Locks: If installing power lock actuators, we have a lock actuator bracket kit to assist in mounting them. LAB-CT4751.
